Someone said to stop putting Polytrix in the blender.
So I put them in and turned it on high!“Are you going to behave for us?”
Mira lunges forward, trying to headbutt him, and is stopped by the chain around her neck connecting her to the wall. Her teeth click behind metal bars covering her mouth.
“Mira.” Abby sighs, clicking his tongue. “Normally I love this feisty attitude, but you're pushing it.”
Mystery glances down at his Zoey, smiling at her, and she smiles back, closed mouth, no teeth, the perfect smile he prefers, and she gets another scratch on the head. He's working, so she's not allowed to leave the bed, the leash around her collar not letting her far.
Rumi doesn't flinch when a whip enters her eyesight. He swings it, a loud CRACK by her ear and she doesn't flinch.
The next CRACK comes with stinging pain on her back, and Rumi can't bite back a cry in time.

"A demon thing?" Rumi whispers. "Probably. Celine always said I had a strong immune system."
Mira makes a face. One that Rumi would've struggled to decipher even if her vision wasn't so blurry.
"Celine… knows?"~
In the immediate aftermath of Namsan tower, Rumi wakes up the following morning sick as a dog. Zoey and Mira help her through it, while also confronting their emotions and assumptions about the events of the last 24 hours.

Summary
Zoey's heart squeezed almost painfully with relief at hearing her voice. "Yes, hi", she said in a rush. "It's me."
"Sorry, can't open my eyes", Mira told her, speaking slowly and sounding like it took a lot of effort. "Hurts. Glad you're okay."
Zoey almost laughed, but tears ended up running down her cheeks instead. "I'm glad you're okay too", she said. And 'okay' was probably an overstatement, probably too optimistic, but she couldn't bring herself to correct her. Her lower lip wobbled, emotions beginning to wrack through her as her mind became clearer. She could barely move. Her neck seemed to work and she could wiggle her toes a bit, but her legs felt heavy and her body just… bad. This was bad, they were in bad shape. And then there was…
Zoey was almost afraid to ask, but she had to. "Where's Rumi?"
Waking up severely injured, Mira and Zoey get few answers from Celine and must make terrible discoveries about what really happened and why Rumi is really avoiding them on their own.

Summary
The last note rang out of her throat, swallowed immediately by roaring applause and– it left Rumi… cold. Not uncomfortably so, just not warm. Her heart rate had abruptly slowed, evened out to something that was barely noticeable. She smiled out at the crowd because she knew she should be. Turning back to her girls she smiled at them too, barely contained excitement visible in their eyes.
The moment they were off stage, Mira and Zoey began cheering.
"Did you see that!?", Zoey screamed. "Gold! It's gold! It's still gold, oh my GOD!"
"We did it", Mira was saying breathlessly. "We like, actually did it."
"Do you know what this means, Rumi!?", Zoey screamed, grabbing Rumi's shoulders and shaking her. Rumi got the sense that she should have been laughing.
The honmoon is successfully sealed golden and Rumi feels… fine. Maybe not quite fine. Maybe Rumi feels nothing at all.
A very serious AU about fucking Rumi silly.
