For some reason, he thought this conversation might go a lot worse for him if he looked her in the eye. "And you took him into the woods— where he got taken, I mean, I don't even—" and he shook his head, frowning deeper. "You went against his mom's orders! Can you not even respect his parents?"
A choked noise snapped Mike back to reality. "You— what?" Robin blinked at him, her mouth hanging slack. "I respect Joyce Byers. Very much."
With Will unconscious, Mike and Robin find time for a tense chat.

“Woah, woah!” Mike throws his hands up, nearly hitting Will as he recoils from their accusatory stares. The guilt is still burning in his chest, but defensiveness is a quicker shield. “Guys, I don’t know what he was talking about! I thought the shadow was all in my head and lied about that, yes, but I’m not hiding anything else!”

Even though Robin insisted that they were platonic with a capital P, Nancy didn’t buy it. Robin and Steve clearly cared about each other, had countless inside jokes and practically spent all their time together. If they weren’t dating then they definitely would be soon. She figured that Robin was downplaying things to not make things uncomfortable with her considering her history with Steve.
Which was nice of Robin to do but it left a bad taste in her mouth that they weren’t upfront about their relationship. She didn’t want them to have to hide for her sake.

Sure, they've saved the world, but the best part of that really is that it doesn't end there and in a town where everyone thinks he murdered a girl, he's at least got Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley. It's really not his fault he accidentally starts living at Steve's house, he was invited, after all. There's a mystery too, about Barbara Holland and Steve's pool.
“Your boner is digging into me,” says Robin, and Steve snorts a tired sort of laugh.
“I don’t have a —”
“You do, I can feel it. Gross.”
“Okay, but it’s only a little one,” he says in a small voice which sounds like he’s impersonating someone.
“Are you ever going to let that go? I peed a little bit when the Russians got the torture devices out, okay?” She sounds amused, though.
Eddie jolts. “Russian torture devices?”
Robin carries on like she didn’t hear him but Steve catches his eye and he’s grinning. “How do you even have a boner dude? You were definitely having a nightmare I know your twitching means a nightmare… Did you have a boner over Vecna?”

“They pulled your body out of the quarry.”
It’s a story Mike’s sure Will’s heard many times, but it’s been watered down — rewritten, almost; masked by the exhilaration of the unknown, the riveting supernatural adventure that awaited them. Will doesn’t know the truth — not the full one, at least. The one fogged with cries, splinters in throats, You said he was alive! The air hangs differently now, four years later, and Mike thinks Will can sense it, because he lets out a strained, choked noise.
Death seems to follow him everywhere. It's only natural Mike breaks down about it, late at night, letting a few secrets slip in the process.

Eyes turned to Mike, whose hands were slightly trembling as he felt anger. Dustin had no right to expose him like that! They were like 12! Besides there were bigger issues at hand, all the other stories were much scarier! Why was this what got everyone's attention?
“I'm… I am not suicidal.” He hesitated which didn't go unnoticed by Robin.
“I mean think about it, if you had no idea where El had gone, you were fully committing to this. I highly doubt that anyone who wasn't suicidal would jump from such a threat.” Robin countered.
