    Summary

“I…you…I just…” Feng Xin stumbles over his words pathetically.

Mu Qing rolls his eyes. “Just spit it out already, I don’t have time for this.”

“You’re hurt,” Feng Xin states, visibly nervous now that the words have been dragged from his throat.

“Congratulations, Feng Xin, your eyes work perfectly fine,” Mu Qing replies, his voice laced with venom.

Feng Xin must be doing this just to ridicule Mu Qing, to point out that he had been careless enough to allow himself to get hurt, even though Mu Qing is obviously aware of his own injury. How…how despicable!

Feng Xin looks almost pained. Mu Qing does not understand why.

or, for some incomprehensible reason Feng Xin cares about Mu Qing way more than he should.

    Summary

"Who did this to you?" Feng Xin asks, and his voice sounds strained. Mu Qing can't tell why he would possibly sound like that.

"I didn't know where else to go," Mu Qing says instead of answering before promptly collapsing to the ground, only to be caught by a pair of arms. They're strong, and he thinks Feng Xin says something, but he's already losing consciousness, far too gone to make out what the words might be. All he knows is the world around him is getting darker and it’s so strange how safe he feels right now. Why did he come here again..? He can’t remember…

    Summary

He’s seen this ribbon almost every day for the past 800 years. He can’t just… let it collect dust in Feng Xin’s chamber, only because Feng Xin is too lazy to fix it himself. If he won’t, then Mu Qing will.

Because that’s just a normal thing that rivals do. They mend each other’s robes and fix each other’s ribbons. Obviously. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, and Mu Qing is not being delusional. And he most definitely does not miss seeing the golden ribbon in Feng Xin’s hair.

Mu Qing realizes Feng Xin's ribbon has been ripped, and it bothers him more than it should. Eventually, he decides to fix it himself.

    Summary

“'I ran into him yesterday. He’s a fucking idiot,' Feng Xin says, then drinks—or rather, gulps—his own tea. 'Hey, is this the tea I got you?'

For a second, Mu Qing fantasizes about returning to Mount Tonglu and flinging himself into the lava. He does not do that. 'I guess that’s what Yi Nuo happened to use today,' he lies."

Or: In the aftermath of the fight against Jun Wu, Feng Xin starts giving Mu Qing the Jian LanTM treatment. Mu Qing takes it about as well as anyone would expect.

To Mu Qing's horror, the first thing Pei Ming does (after expressing his displeasure with the situation, of course), is flirt with Feng Xin.
