Summary
They rolled up to the first red light. Eric drummed his fingers on the wheel, watching the cross traffic. Two more lights and they’d be at the school. He glanced sideways at Dylan, who was absently picking at the loose threads on his hoodie sleeve, earbuds dangling around his neck.
A slow smirk tugged at Eric’s mouth. “Wanna skip?”
Dylan’s head snapped up, grin spreading instantly across his face. That familiar spark lit up his eyes—the one that always made Eric’s chest do stupid things.

“You’re coming in here to puke up all that shit you just ate.”
Dylan’s jaw tightened. “What?”
Eric scoffed, unmoving. “Don’t think you’ve got time to play stupid. Needs to be up and out by what—ten minutes? You really gonna waste time acting like a dumbass? Be my guest.”

Summary
He prayed Eric would go back to accusing him of cheating. Surely this was something he didn’t want to get into. They didn’t have to talk about it. Why did it have to be a thing? It doesn’t have to be a thing. The room stayed quiet except for the cheerful Mario Kart music still looping in the background.
Eric’s hand froze in Dylan’s hair, fingers tangled tight at the roots. His eyes widened, locked on Dylan’s face. Dylan’s breath came shallow and quick, lips parted, a flush crawling up his neck. He looked wrecked already, pupils blown, chest rising fast under his faded band tee.
Eric didn’t let go. If anything, his grip tightened a fraction. Dylan’s eyes fluttered half-shut and another small, helpless noise escaped him. Eric stared, lips slightly parted, voice low and almost disbelieving.
“The fuck?”
