Remus Lupin attended Hogwarts with James Potter and Lily Evans.
Sirius Black attended Koldovstoretz, alone.
James Potter and Sirius Black were best friends until they were 11, when James would never hear from him again.
Harry Potter is born on a warm day in late July, and a little over a year later, his parents are dead.
Remus Lupin is left with nothing but James' childhood home, and his child.---
Essentially, Sirius flu powders to “the Potters" house and is faced with Harry and Remus instead. Remus offers him hospitality and guidance as he is abandoned from his family and finds out his childhood best friend is dead.
Canon divergence: the war is not happening, Sirius did not attend Hogwarts, Peter did not die, Lily and James are not killed by Voldemort, and a few other small things here and there that will be addressed in certain chapters. -
