“How will I travel knowing that you guys will start World War III inside this apartment?” Jaemin sighed, a hint of exasperation lacing his words as he stood beside Donghyuck, hands on his hips.
“I just want to say that, for the nth time, on my side, we’re good. Hyuck’s hate is one-sided,” Mark muttered as he got up from the table.
“Die. Also, don’t call me Hyuck."(or, Donghyuck pretends to hate Mark just to hide his powers, but Mark makes this task so, so hard for him.)

Summary
Donghyuck had expected it to happen. He knew Mark would break up with him. He had known that it would be something like this. Mark had spent their whole relationship preparing for their 'inevitable' downfall. What he hadn't expected, was for Mark to turn around and be in love with someone else, someone he knows all too well. Donghyuck ends up finding an escape in someone he proclaims his hate for on a daily basis, all by accident.
Or, both Jaemin and Donghyuck find joy in being together whilst the life they know falls apart.

Donghyuck blinks, mouth open in a silent moan as Mark presses urgent and insistent kisses on his neck. He can feel his throat getting dry, his fingers skidding across the bed sheets, too soft, and up to Mark’s shoulder, hard muscle, as he presses his hand there in a failed attempt to escape Mark’s hold. Giving up, he licks his lips and says:

But he can't loiter at the doorway any longer before Johnny starts to think there is something wrong with him, so he takes a deep breath and starts rounding the table. As soon as he sees the client's face, his stomach swoops, and he forgets how to breathe.
(or, Haechan was hopelessly in love with his ex-best friend eight years ago, and now he's representing said ex-best friend in a divorce case against his other ex-best friend. Nothing good can come out of this).
