You weren't secretive about it, and each of them was slightly different from the others, but that little fact was always present. Always hanging in the air around you when you were with any of them. If any of them didn't like it, they would never tell you. After all, it was kind of their fault that you had this strange shared relationship.

Summary
V gets a call from a stranger asking to meet. Then this stranger says he’s a detective and starts asking questions V doesn’t want to answer. Problem is, she can’t seem to shake him, plus he gives her the warm fuzzies and Johnny hates it. Maybe keeping cops from getting too close was a rule that was meant to be broken.
This was inspired by a theory I saw somewhere that River was originally going to be the one that found V in the landfill. I wanted to explore how that could've looked plus further development in V and River's relationship.
