“Futaba.” Akira pushes up the fake glasses he's relieved to have again. He doesn't know what he'd do without his mask. “Calm down. Can you start from the beginning?”
She sighs, hugging herself tighter. “Sorry. I, um…well. It's…easier if I just show you.”
Futaba pulls out her phone and opens the MetaNav. The troubled expression on her face disappears, replaced by mischief. “You might wanna sit down for this.” She doesn't wait for him to sit before activating the MetaNav's voice recognition. “Akechi Goro, Detective Prince."
“Candidate found.”
With the successful execution of their plan to change Niijima Sae's heart and deceive Akechi Goro, the Phantom Thieves have overcome their most dangerous obstacle yet—but one obstacle still remains. Akechi has yet to let the name of his boss and their ultimate target slip. How do you summarise ‘I’m doing great, but I’m also having a midlife crisis over a kink I discovered about myself and I’m afraid it’s starting to affect work because I haven’t stopped thinking about my co-worker since’ into a single word without Haru thinking he needs a three-week vacation?

Summary
If you’d asked Ren to make a list of things Akechi might do after surviving certain death, twice, he would not have put ‘continue his dumb celebrity career’ on it anywhere. Like, not even as a back-up option. Not even close.
Akechi shrugs. “My agent called. There was still interest. I need money to live. Do you expect me to get a job at 777?”
Akechi’s face is on the 777. His smile glimmers out at the world, his eyes sparkling with secrets, as if nothing could be more coyly, erotically compelling than a cheap can of iced tea. The photographer seems to have been very, very interested in the way Akechi’s long fingers in black leather gloves set off the sweet curve of his lower lip. Every time Ren works a shift he has to look at this poster for hours. And the advertising campaign is working, so he also has to look at the mini-version on the special limited edition cans of iced tea that everyone is suddenly buying.

Summary
Contrary to popular opinion, being a phantom thief does not pay well.
Shadows leave nothing behind, and the palace’s treasures barely cover the gear his team needs to stay alive. Left with no other options, Akira must turn to the real world for a solution, or more specifically: he starts secretly crossdressing at a Maid Cafe.
It’s hard keeping all the different aspects of his life separate, but Akira is determined to make it work.
That is, until a certain detective finds his new place of employment.
AKA: how being broke, getting hired as a maid, and living two universes to the left of canon changes everything.
