Summary
I think back to when…
Life was good, I was content.
Ethan would always remember how things were for him back then.
Sure, his childhood wasn’t exactly the best. His parents’ deaths, Laura’s disease, Mason kicking him out… yeah, all of those things were bad. But he wasn’t able to say he wasn’t happy. Because even with all he had gone through, he was still able to feel joy, to feel contentment.
He had Michael and Maddison, he had Neil, he had Aaron and Nina, Alex… who could ask for more?

Summary
Ethan turned his attention to Alexander, who was huddled in the corner. When he approached him, the omega’s lip curled into a defensive snarl, teeth bared in a low, threatening hiss.
Ethan stared down at him, confused for a moment, before remembering his scent. Yikes. If it was enough to intimidate an older alpha like Murdock, he couldn't imagine the effect it would have on a young omega.
“Sorry,” he said, sweetening his scent to something softer, letting hints of vanilla come through, similar to what he used with Michael and Maddison.
Alexander visibly relaxed, if only by a little, looking a little less like a feral animal and more like a young man. Very young. Surely he couldn't be any more than a teenager. “Why are you here?”
Ethan shrugged. “I've never seen an omega in a prison before. Maybe I wanted to see what makes you so different, hm?”

Summary
Ethan resisted the very tempting urge to roll his eyes. "Are you seriously asking? It's freezing, Alex. How do you expect me to not be cold?" Ah, there it was. Ethan was nothing without his grumpiness.
"Well... I'm not shivering like you are, right?"
"No, but that's because you're a polar bear, a snowball, a snowflake, a—"
Alex laughed against his skin. Ethan suppressed another shudder. "Maybe. Or, maybe you're just a freeze-baby."
