    Lyra Whitlock was tired, her soul had been moved once again, this time Twenty-ish centuries back into the future for another lifetime.

    This was her last lesson apparently, although this lesson could prove to be the hardest.

    Lyra had thought this lifetime was any old normal life instead of the fantasy worlds she'd been to already but destiny had a sick sense of humour and she found herself surrounded by the Scooby gang. She'd dealt with many things but Vampires, Doppelgangers and Hybrids? That was a new one.

    But Lyra would enjoy this one, having what seemed to be one last time at a chance to be a normal teenager. That was until she discovered she had a choice to make, one that if she'd known before her lesson was learnt would have been an easy choice.

    Now? Not so much.

    Does she finally rest? Or will this lesson keep her around for what could be, forever?

    Blair Gilbert is Elena's older sister and a witch—a siphoner, really, but Damon Salvatore doesn't know that. Damon needs her help with opening the tomb and so they strike a deal: he stops killing locals, fakes being her boyfriend, teaches her all he knows about vampires, and she helps him get what he wants. Simple.

    Except nothing is simple when it comes to the Salvatore brothers. Stefan can’t stop wanting the wrong Gilbert sister after kissing Blair at the back-to-school party like he wanted to devour her, even as he tried to compel her to forget before running back to Elena. And Damon is far better company than a murderous immortal should be (which complicates the ‘no feelings involved’ clause).

    Blair soon realizes that holding on to control—over her magic, her body, her emotions—might be close to impossible, especially as she's running out of reasons to keep Elena in the dark.

    After waking up in my own teenaged body, twenty years in the past, with no memory of who I am or where I'm from, imagine my surprise when I realize I've somehow made my way into a universe entirely based on the Twilight books. Only Bella Swan doesn't exist here and I definitely shouldn't exist here either.

    All I really know about my life here is that my name is now Danielle (Dani) Baker, I'm apparently an orphan living with my aunt in Forks, and I'm a witch. I already knew that though. The little bit of magic I had in whatever life I left behind is much stronger here and I'm having a little trouble getting it under control.

    Edward Cullen definitely wants to eat me and I would rather avoid that whole mess altogether. Maybe I can just lay low and make it out of Forks in time to go to college and get a decent do-over? But that would make for a terrible story.
