Summary
Ultimately, what saves the galaxy is the loyalty and devotion between a certain High General of the Grand Army of the Republic and his Clone Marshall Commander CC-2224. Only, these titles had nothing to do with it.
Cody trusts Obi-Wan's instincts, and Obi-Wan trusts Cody's... even if that means he must trust himself.
Their tribulations do not end with the war, however. They face many changes and trials in the aftermath.

Summary
The Jedi speak of the will of the Force, but no unified consciousness exists to direct fate. The Force pulls on itself just as much as it influences the lifeforms it spurred into being. It is a growing, writhing, living presence. But for the light to endure, a warning had to make it through the obscuring darkness.
After one standard year into the Clone Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi is granted a glimpse of the future and a new gift. With others' attachments and intentions now made visible, he is thrust onto a path that takes him further and further away from the Jedi Order. Justice for the clones becomes a priority - by any means necessary. And the support of one clone in particular slowly becomes vital to Obi-Wan's wellbeing as he is forced to make an impossible choice.

Turns out High General and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi is just like clone trooper CC-2224.
It almost feels like treason to make such a comparison, but it appears to be the truth. Cody has always struggled with privacy and intimacy in a way most of his brothers didn’t, constantly stopped in his tracks by the nagging thought that he’s crossing some invisible line.***
“As I was saying before,” Cody continues, jaw clenched and molars grinding against one another, “the General seems uneasy with too much familiarity, and if he prefers to keep his distance, we should all try to respect his wishes. It’s the least we can offer him after all he has done — and is doing — for us.”

When a covert operation goes sideways and Nuvo Vindi is involved, his attempt at trumping the Blue Shadow virus soon becomes the least of Cody's worries.
Cody quickly finds that being unable to lie for the foreseeable future is a lot more inconvenient when he's been carrying a torch for his commanding officer.
Most of all, Cody wishes said commanding officer would stop rooting through all of Cody's secrets like a man on a mission.Series

The clones take care of their own, after all—but then again, so does Obi-Wan.
