Summary
The night had always been one of Tim’s favorite things about Gotham since he was a child. The cool breeze and murky skies, how the air around him smell vaguely of cigarettes, and some new fear toxin variant that made his mind wander. It was quiet, and slow. And let Tim feel like there was a stop in time where he could just breathe.
It had been an excruciating night on patrol to say the least. Two Face escaped Arkham for the third time that week, and Tim can’t help but think “what the actual fuck does Gotham have against me?” When he ends up seeing the one person he’d been avoiding for weeks.

It was too loud.
so loud Tim thought his breath was practically being stolen from him, like some villain just beat the shit out of him until he was left nothing more then a rotting piece of Robin flesh.
he could hear his heart.
he could almost feel the way the lights burned hit his skin like burning, or a million bugs squirming their way through Tim’s skin. Maybe that’s what’s happening, maybe Tim’s body was becoming infested with some new Gotham villains test trick, maybe they put something in the food he was eating this morning. Maybe he had been hit with something unnoticeably.
but no, as much as Tim would like to try and convince himself, sorry gaslight himself into believing he was normal. It’s not true.

Tim is on a patrol mission with Bruce investigating a bombing at some gala. When Tim has a sensory overload.
