With the threats of being removed as Tim’s Guardian Angel, Kon has one final chance to redeem himself worthy of being Tim’s protector.
Taking things to the next level, Kon becomes human to physically be by Tim’s side in hopes he can protect him more so than before. However because Tim is a vigilante Kon’s job is more difficult as Tim constantly puts himself at risk, he’s always running headfirst into danger and is always willing to sacrifice his life for others.

The Superboy was ripped from his pod and "rescued" from CADMUS by heroes. Heroes who abandoned him the moment they set foot in the mountain, heroes who a majority of them wanted to kill him, and the rest not even certain he was an actual being capable of emotions. The clone was abandoned at Mount Justice by the heroes, let floundering at the seems as he acclimated into new a world, his supposed 'father' unable to look at him before disgust overtook his features.

Tim was tired. He tried to stay in the loop; grabbing Coffee with Dick while he was on Patrol, or taking Damian to his Violin Lessons, but it wasn't enough. He was tired of trying to fit in.After a years of him running himself into the ground, with little to no thanks in return, he decides enough is enough. He realizes it's time for him to leave the Bat's nest. He packs up, and he and his girlfriend move to upstate New York, where he begins to live happily.
He isn't as stressed, he is able to do as he pleases. He's FREE. That is, until his family show up out of the blue, disturbing the peaceful life he had built for himself.
