Draco Malfoy has disappeared from England. No one knows where he is—least of all Hermione Granger, whose eight NEWT’s have earned her a coveted position in the prestigious Magiotech graduate program at Minuit College in Manhattan, far from home. But fate has other plans, and when her least favorite Slytherin turns up at her job in Wizarding Wall Street, Hermione finds herself questioning everything she thought she knew.
“Why are you following me?”
“I’m not,” Hermione retorts hotly, yanking another book off the shelf.
“Right, and I’m the bloody Queen of England.”
“Not everything in this world revolves around you, Malfoy.”
“All the better,” he shrugs, then eyes her skeptically. “Look Granger—whatever it is you’re doing in Manhattan—this island is big enough for the two of us.”
She studies him for a long second before responding, taking in the expressionless grey eyes, the tense jaw. “Fine. You stay out of my way, and I’ll stay out of yours.”
