Akechi settles in a plush chair, crossing his legs one over the other in the most enticing way possible. He rests his elbow on his knee and places his chin on his hand as he inspects Akira closely, his intense gaze following Akira’s every move. It’s a little disconcerting, and Akira’s skin prickles a bit at the unbroken attention.
“I expect you’ve had a look at the crime scene already,” Akechi says once Akira settles himself on the couch opposite him.
“I have.”
“It was a terrible thing that happened to him, truly,” Akechi responds with a slight incline of his head. "Have you come to ask just how terrible I thought it was?"
or; Akira is a detective on the most high profile murder case that Tokyo has seen in years, and Akechi may or may not have stabbed his husband twenty times with a kitchen knife.

Morgana turns his skeptical gaze on him. “Are you sure? You weren’t feeling so great earlier...”
Akechi watches their target for a moment longer, and the illusion of his soft yukata and softer hair dispels under his glass shard of a smile. There isn’t a trace of pain on his face anymore—only simmering, dark excitement. “As I said. I don’t like to lose.”
And neither does Ren. Yeah, they’re head to toe in yukata and sandals, and yeah, everyone is right: this is so, so stupid. Ren is so stupid. But he’s gonna climb this roof and catch that goddamn cop.
He meets Akechi’s gaze beat for beat. “Let’s do it.”

Goro stops walking. His wide eyes glisten under the streetlights—glossy like the twin buttons on a teddy bear’s face, glossy like the buttons on his crisp linen shirt, glossy like the metaphorical buttons that Akira aches to push. They stand still long enough for a car to rumble past, long enough for Akira’s pulse to skyrocket, for his palms to clam up with sweat that has nothing to do with the heat.
“If it’s only a matter of buttons,” Akechi whispers, “then I could say the same about you. Seduction is just... altering your behavior, tailoring it, putting on a show. Give me a week, Kurusu. I’ll make you the ‘desperate’ one.”

Instead of Persona, the Phantom Thieves gain the power of Atma - their true forms made manifest in demonic forms that require frequent feeding. It's just a shame that this food takes the form of Shadows, or people. The Phantom Thieves must now get to grips with this new, insatiable hunger that never goes away, clinging to their humanity while trying to use their curse for good by changing people's hearts, and refusing to even think about devouring humans to stay sane.
