Paul gets news from his ill father that his younger brother Michael is being sent to a home. Understandably, he's questionable about it, knowing his abusive father's history of sabotaging the childhood of his kids. Knowing that he has he capabilities of raising his own brother, despite suffering from a prolonging neurological issue, Paul tries to find ways to get his brother back into his custody.
At the same time, he falls into a pit that can change things for the better or worse. Paul finds out in a short time frame that the home his brother gets sent to, is the home of a man who is completely willing to change his life; John Lennon.
John Lennon on the other hand captures Paul’s eyes one time, his heart flutters, butterflies awakening as soon as they lock eyes. As soon as possible, John gives up everything to aid Paul, helping him with his father and brother. Throughout this the pair begin to fall in love, despite a rough start, and bumps in the road.

Summary
Looking at John, watching his hands, seeing the slope of his nose, Paul realizes he wants to kiss him, always has. He wants to tell him, but he’s too afraid. He wonders if it was the other way around between them, would John tell him? Or would this be a change that neither of them could come back from.
“I think we’re all changing all the time," John's telling him. "I think we learn things about ourselves every day. And if there are people who don’t like us for trying something new or being someone new, then they can fuck right off, aye?” His smile brightens up a few notches, so Paul feels his own doing the same.
“They can fuck right off,” Paul agrees, and where he’d thought he might feel alone, he feels protected and loved, and it fills him up with something good and warm. It makes an ashram in Rishikesh, India feel like home.
