Summary
Simon Riley has a complicated relationship with Christmas. His birthday is the Eve, and his family vanished in 2009. He only discovered they were alive over a month later.
Only a few years later, on his Christmas leave he was told not to come home again, after one too many close calls in the Army.
Twelve years after spending Christmas in the basement of a cartel in Mexico, he's invited to spend his holiday leave with his partner's family in Scotland. For the first time, he feels included in a loving family dynamic, and he must learn to deal with being loved.

Summary
