“Hey, you okay? You still got a good hold on that thing? Is it shaking?”
Looking at the mech hero sceptically, her own painful, measured dry heaving keeping her from talking, Courtney soon gave a jerk of a nod and then a shake.
“Alright. Good.” Mecha Man asserted, his voice still speaking with that uneasy, sobering sternness to it, before becoming only a single pitch more casual. “So, asthma? Guess that explains why you sound like you're choking on wet sand.”
“No shit – *COUGH* – De-detective,” she coughed, snapping back just to stubbornly show that she still could as she had the weapon aimed again towards him.
