Summary
Chattering bounced around, and both laughter and light-hearted arguments could be heard. Unlike the raging, item-throwing war of words, Time had grown accustomed to.
It was so different, not so long ago. No one rarely talked to each other, and when they did, arguments broke out, chairs, weapons were thrown. Nothing would stop the others from violence. including Time. They couldn’t help themselves, letting a sly comment fall, and not hesitating to pull out their dagger. It was hard not to lean into distrust, the situation they were all in made that clear.
Or: Two Time slowly opens up to the others, as they do as well. They still go through the rounds as they all learn how to live in this new life together.

The last time he felt himself breathing was when it was as quick as it could be, when he had the knowledge that he was dying. Slowly, but surely, dying. If not by the poison, it was the hydraulic press. If not by the hydraulic press, it was the poison. Blood was coating Momota’s jacket then, as he laid on it, his injuries from just a couple of minutes before weren’t done leaking yet. He knew that the people who walked in that door would think “Momota Kaito is dead. Ouma Kokichi killed him.”
He remembered snorting then when that thought came, and he remembered that he thought, “They could never be more wrong. But let them think that.”
