Summary
It’s been two-hundred years since Oakhurst. Since Avid.
Scott’s adamant that he’s moved on, at least outwardly anyway. Yet as he, Shelby, and Drift find their way back to that ghost town village he can’t help the feelings in his gut. They meet with Pearl and Cleo at the castle, their yearly tradition starting off normally.
Except normal and Oakhurst never belong together, and suddenly Scott’s too busy protecting his Fledglings from a monster to care about the silver burning a hole through his heart.
Or.
Avid is brought back by something he doesn’t understand, and that something doesn’t let him have control long enough for his new life to be worth anything. He assumes the worst, that his life will no longer be his own and rather just watching this thing live as him.
But then a familiar face is in front of him. And he looks ready to kill.

Shelbly suggested to Scott that he get out of the house more, so she signed him up for a local pottery class. His classmates are an odd bunch of humans, but he’s slowly warming up to them. Too bad they start to notice a head of black and white hair watching their new friends every move.
