The other man always treated him rougher whenever Childe referred to him with that title, gripping him hard enough to leave bruises on his skin the next day.

He was starting to forget what his siblings looked like. The distance between them grew with every letter he failed to reply to, every second he spent fighting in place of watching Teucer grow. His journey from here on out would only get more perilous, and the miles between him and Snezhnaya would only grow further until he was a stranger to the snow capped mountains of his homeland. Was he willing to just give all that up for a few more years beside the king of a foreign country? Was he willing to give that up for Zhongli?
The answer was already there. It had always been.

“The university’s charity organization has decided to set up a kissing booth to raise money for this year’s donation goal, and I’ve been tasked with recruiting the lucky volunteers,” Mei Mei says as she places her hand on the back of Suguru’s chair, her gaze as graciously calculating as always. “I thought you might be interested.”
“I am afraid I must refuse,” Suguru replies, maintaining a courteous tone of voice, because there’s no universe in which he’d voluntarily subject himself to such a thing.
“Okay,” Satoru retorts at the exact same moment, and every single thought in Suguru’s head comes to a standstill.
Or: When Satoru agrees to volunteer at their University's kissing booth charity event Suguru is forced to come to terms with how he actually feels about his best friend.
