Summary
In 2015, in a city far from home after a Chelsea match, Roy goes out on the pull, hoping to scratch a very particular itch. And Roy was there in disguise, but Jamie was there, as Jamie.
In June 2022, Roy sits down with Dr Sharon for the first time, wondering if maybe he should come clean, after all this time, filling her in on all the ups and downs and everything in between over the years of these two tiptoeing around each other with secrets all over the place and feelings all blatant and up in each others faces.
So Roy is going to start, at the beginning and then he’ll meander all over the place, including to the bogs of G-A-Y, to Bake Off, to sitting side by side in the front of Jamie’s car because Roy doesn’t know how to use words when facing someone. He even puts his seatbelt on, just in case.
Ruth hopes Dr Sharon gives Roy a diagnosis or two. -

I didn’t think I wanted it, his devotion, not at first. But now I know that I did, I still do, desperately, I know that I need it, that I crave it, that I miss it, and that I want to return it, that I do return it, I do, I really do…
But Enjolras fears it might be too little, way too late...
Or
Is it?

This was it, here he was, fresh out of university, new city, new life.
He was free.
He could do whatever he wanted. Only trouble was, alone in a new town, he hadn't exactly figured out what, or who, it was he wanted to do just yet...
Two men meet in a crowded room...
And it all goes downhill from there.

Summary
Cosette persuades Enjolras to go out "in disguise" in order to help him attempt to find a man.
In disguise in her clothes. It made sense to them at the time, of course it did, they were drunk, (and perhaps had just been watching Ru Paul's Drag Race...?)

Summary
Having narrowly escaped relegation, AFC Richmond dreams of rising to the very top, Jamie and Roy struggle to navigate their new secret relationship, and Jamie’s dad threatens to destroy their fragile happiness. Jamie has to learn the hard way that he’s not alone anymore, and needs to find the strength and courage to ask for help.
~*~
“He’s my dad,” Jamie says weakly, trying to explain what he knows is irrational behavior. He knows he doesn’t owe his dad anything, not his time or money or respect. “It’s easier this way.”
Roy slowly wraps his arms around Jamie from behind, pulling him back against the warmth of his chest. Jamie rests limply there, letting Roy take some of his weight. “I don’t fucking understand, Jamie.”
Jamie nods miserably. “I know. But he’ll leave me alone for a while now.”
Roy sighs heavily, his breath warming the side of Jamie’s neck. “What would he have done, if I wasn’t here?” he asks, clearly choosing his words carefully.
Jamie shrugs again. He wraps his hands around Roy’s arms, keeping him there. Roy leans his head against Jamie’s, holding him tight.

Summary
Jamie’s been flirting with him.
Roy is… almost sure of it.
But Roy has been a footballer—and a well-known one, at that—for far too long to be confident about this observation. He’s never had to wonder before. The kind of women who wanted to sleep with him in his prime had no problem being so obvious that even he couldn’t misread the situation. Blokes were a non-issue altogether.
Lately, though, Jamie’s been doing his head in.

Summary
“I want to be better than him,” Jamie sulked at Ola’s, and that –
That was something Roy could reach for, seize on, anchor himself in the turbulent sea of bullshit that had been figuring out just who that fuck even is Roy Kent if he’s not playing the game.
Deep down, he supposed he’d known since Tottenham last season that the answer spun somewhere in the orbit of Jamie fucking Tartt.
“I could train you,” he offered.

Summary
“You are going, Roy!” Ruth had demanded through the phone, “This bullshit with you and dad has gone on long enough. I want to see you both sit down and share a meal. Together.”
“I don’t see the fucking point! He doesn’t want me there and I don’t want to go!”
“Yeah, because the last time you were there, you stabbed the roast chicken right up the arse with your fork and told Dad you wished it was him.”
“I still do.”
This Christmas, Roy isn't getting out of dinner with his insufferable parents. Thankfully, Jamie comes up with a brilliant idea during their morning training.
