Inside the tower, there’s a heap of something on the floor that Jean quickly realises are feathers— wings in fact, large and white.
Frantic, she immediately crouches. As she does so, however, Venti finally stirs. When he next opens his eyes, looking at her, his eyes immediately widen. Then, in a too-small, too-uncertain voice, raspy and shaky, he whispers—
“Gunnhildr?”
Venti gets de-aged after a close call with Decarabian's god remains in Old Mondstadt. Jean (and others) care for him in the aftermath. In the process, Jean walks the same steps and reconnects with her ancestor before her.

The thing about getting cheated on is that everyone expects you to be sad.
Venti isn’t sad. He’s pissy.
There’s a difference. Sad is crying into a pint of overpriced mint chocolate ice-cream. Pissy is sitting across Lumine in their usual cafe, pouting, giving her the silent treatment, while Lumine tries to explain why she’d been Diluc fucking Ragnvindr’s sugar baby.
Lumine cheats. Venti just wants to know why, and then maybe fuck the guy too. For science.

And thinking, he discovered, was dangerous. Thinking was where all his worst ideas lived. Because it was there that he realized that he was juggling a holy relationship with mortal settings, and failing spectacularly at both.

He believes he is ready for the “next step" with Venti, and knows the cathedral dorms absolutely do NOT allow romantic…sleepovers.
But everything goes wrong—emotionally, spiritually, and physically—until they both finally confront what it means to love each other as man and god, and how to restore Dahlia's fractured faith properly while loving fully.
