There Nandor sat, his hand clutching his small bag, his back against the cold bench at the train station. His overly large cape flowed down his body like a velvety black and royal red waterfall. He was quite the sight, his dark hair almost covering his face as his dark eyes looked over for his small companion. It had already been some time since Nandor got to the train station, for him it felt like an eternity, and that said something, especially with his living conditions. The taller male looked over, his ears perking up as he spotted a throw-speaking conductor. It hurt his heart that Guillermo wasn't there with him. Did the little rascal change his mind, did his Guillermo decide to stay behind, leave nandor behind. Or did he find something more interesting to occupy his time? That idea hurt the old vampire and made his undead heart feel such sorrow. Once out of his head Nandor allowed his body to move, sitting in one of the chairs lining the inside of the train. The space was uncomfortable, small, and cramped. Things would have been better if Guillermo was there, but there was no point in trying. Now nandor was doomed to be this sad, old, vampier. Doomed to walk this earth alone once more. But this time, he was longing for Guillermo to return. With closed eyes, Nandor let out a soft sigh, his body relaxing against the seat.
That was until he heard a familiarly loud voice yell “Stop!” and boy did Nandor miss that high-pitched, squeaky voice. The vampire watched the train doors open as Guillermo, his Guillermo, walked through. Soft brown eyes connect with Nandors dark ones. A small burning feeling formed in nandors chest as he wanted Guillermo to come close. Hold him like he never wanted to let go.
The smaller male smiled softly, walking over to Nandor “I hope you didn't think id forget you, master,” Guillermo stated as he put up his suitcase.
“Oh, of course not,” That may have been a small lie, the cold feeling still resigning with the words. As much as nador hated to admit it, he absolutely loathed the idea of his bodyguard leaving, finding something else to better use his time. Fortunately, Guillermo would never do that “But, may I ask what took so long, dear?”
Once Guillermo sat down, the cramped feeling slowly became less prominent, now all Nandor was concerned with was staying with Guillermo and keeping him safe. Although it was kinda funny, Guillermo should be doing that job for Nandor, but as of right now, the vampire wanted to keep his human safe. No matter what tried to come between them.
“Oh well, kinda a long story, but to shorten it, Lazslo tried to lock me in his coffin. Tried to push me in, but with all our practice, I was able to flip him in the crate and seal it shut before he tried anything. I heard him say he had other things to deal with, but so do I. I would never let anything come between keeping you safe and traveling the world with you.” With that, Guillermo ended his statement with a soft smile.
If Nandor's heart was still alive then surely it would be beating hard enough to pound out of his chest. A wider smile rested on the taller man's face as he looked at Guillermo, taking in every small detail of the other person's face. His soft skin, and light wrinkles for years of hard work. The male's tan skin, his soft features. His eyes were another worldly beauty, something nandor would never get tired of staring into. Guillermo was pure perfection, even if his bodyguard didn't think so himself. This will be something they will change, even if it takes Nandor an eternity to help Guillermo figure it out. The vampire then looked down at his hands which were gently placed on his lap. The vampire didn't understand what he was getting himself into, for his world, being in love with a human was never allowed. Especially a former familiar. But Nandor didn't care, he wanted to care for Guillermo, show him how much he cared. Plus, the vampire needed makeup for all the times he never did. Guillermo worked hard for the others, and himself. He deserted the world. “I appreciate you coming back, I kinda thought you would just decide to stay back, but it's nice to know you wanted to come,”
Nandor couldn't see Guillermo's expression, but after being around the boy for 11 years, almost 12, he could already know the face, and when he turned his head he was right. Pure confusion rested on Guillermo's face. Nandor let out a soft chuckle, “What with that expression?”
It took Guillermo a few seconds to speak, most likely figuring out his own words. “Well, I'm just confused on why you would even think that I would leave, I mean c'mon nandor,” hearing the other say his name, not master, but his name sent shivers up the vampire's spine. “I spent 12 years with you, why would I give up now?” Guillermo smiled, showing off his smile wrinkles. Which was Nandors favorite. “I've spent so much time caring for you, and I don't plan to stop,” Guillermo softly padded Nandors hand, soon cupping it with his own. That was a bold move, and nandor loved bold moves. Nandor moved his sight to their hands, soon intertwining their fingers together. Even with the soft silence, it was nice. The tension of all their years together, unseen feelings, slowly flowed away.
Nandor then turned, looking into Guillermo’s chocolate eyes, “I thank you, Guillermo, you and your actions are very much appreciated,” The taller male said softly before turning his head to the window, watching the lands before them slowly move. Nandor kept his eyes on the ground quickly moving, his hand feeling as Guillermo finally settles. The human heartbeat goes to its normal pitter-patter.
To most people times like this would be tense, traveling the world, especially as a vampire with a human. It is extremely dangerous. But, being around Guillermo seemed to take that worried feeling away. Nandor understood that Guillermo would take good care of him, and keep him safe from anything. It was heartwarming to know how devoted the little rascal was. Nandor let out a soft sigh, soon turning to Guillermo, who honestly looked exhausted. But the vampire understood, that dealing with Laslo and his shit was enough to even wear Nandor out.
“Hey, Guillermo, how about you rest, get some shut-eye. I'll wake you up when we get to our first stop.” the vampire softly smiled, showing the soft points of his fangs on his bottom lip. On a normal day, Guillermo would argue about not being tired. But, the human didn't seem to be in the mood to argue, which nandor mentally thanked.
“Alright, but you wake me immediately if something happens,” Guillermo muttered before resting his head on the train seat. He then closed his eyes letting out a content hum. After a few moments, nandor moved his un-intertwined hand, removing Guillermos glasses. The last thing they needed is for them to break. He then moved his cape, using the majority of it to cover the other. It was massive and warm. Just enough for Guillermo. Without much need, his human moved his head, resting it against Nandors shoulder. The vampier grinned, happy he didn't have to do that work himself.
With that, Guillermo was finally comfortable, or as much as he could be. Nandor softly stared at Guillermo as he rested, his eyes scanning the human's face. Taking in almost everything, he was just so beautiful. It almost makes his dead heartache. Nandor then moved his eyes, closing them as he rested his head on Guillermo. This moment was one of the times when the vampire was the most at peace. And he couldn't be more grateful. At the beginning of deciding who to bring, of course, his first choice was Guillermo. But he was also off-put by the idea, he didn't want to bring his human along if there were danger. Obviously, Nandor knew that Guillermo could take care of himself and him, but the fear still sturred in the vampire's cold body. Fortunately, after a lot of consideration, and testing Guillermo's ability, Nandor happily made his decision. He's never felt more right about decisions in his life. The taller man knitted his eyebrows together, softly stirring. Although, instead of his spoke protection only himself. Nandor must take Guillermo and protect him himself, just in case anything were to happen. The vampire let out a soft sign, trying to calm his nerves, the idea of Guillermo hurting sent a harsh pain down his chest. Which only caused him more discomfort.
“Master- can't sleep huh?” Nandor quickly opened his eyes, locking them with Guillermo's. The vampire didn't know how long his human was watching, but it seemed to be long enough to catch his distorted expression. The smaller male softly rubbed his thumb against nandors knuckle. The taller male had no clue why Guillermo got so bold overnight, but he appreciated it.
“Oh, I guess not,” Nandor muttered before sitting up. It was upsetting that they had to stop sitting so close, but oh well. Guillermo turned and looked at nandor, still keeping their hands together, “Would you like to talk about it, talk about what's keeping you up,” Guillermo kept his eyes on nandor, hoping the vampire would take the time to explain his feelings. But if he didn't, that would be okay too.
“Well, It's kind of hard to explain really.” Nandor muttered, squeezing their hands together, “But ill try,” Nandor paused for a second to regain his thoughts. The entire time Guillermo kept his eyes on his master, watching, waiting. Nandor appreciated that the most about his companion. The willingness to listen and wait, giving nandor just enough time to get his words together. Let his mind thinks before completely falling out in a puddle of emotions. “I guess, I guess im just a bit nervous about our trip. Worried about you, I fully understand that you can protect yourself, and me, but there are things in my home country that aren't like what they are in satin Island,” Nandor softly sighed, “Im just worried about you,” the vampire knew if he could blush he would be right now.
Before Guillermo could speak, nandor already had his hand up, shushing the smaller male, “I know, I shouldn't be worried about you, and I know we both will be okay, but it's just been a natural occurrence for a while now,” Nandor looked at Guillermo, watching his bodyguard eyes crek up. Still the same beautiful smile that always rested on Guillermo's face. Tugs at nandors heartstrings every time.
Guillermo then softly took nandors other hand, using both his thumbs to rub against each knuckle, “listen, I appreciate you being so concerned. And I dont know what happened between then and now, well when you started caring for me so much. But, I appreciate it, nandor. It makes our living conditions so much easier.” Guillermo paused, “But you do not need to worry, I've been around you for 12 years, I know so much about you, and I know so much about how to protect you, master. And I promise, with every breath in my body, I will always protect you. Even on my last breath, your wellbeing will always be my top priority.” Guillermo then took the other hand, softly kissing his knuckle.
“There is no need for you to worry, sir, everything will be okay, we’ll be okay.” The human muttered, moving the run hand to mess with nandors hair. Putting some of his locks behind his master's ear. It was a nice gesture, and nandor couldn't be more grateful.
There were so many things about Guillermo that warmed nandors dead heart, his ability to be so helpful, especially after so many years. The fact that he could continue so long after the mistreatment. It was astonishing, to see his dedication. Even seeing it switch from wanting something for him, to wanting to make nandor happy. It changed everything for the better.
“Thank you, my Guillermo, you always know what to say to make me feel more at ease.” nandor then turned, facing forward, “Shall we slumber?” he asked. With all the helpful talk from Guillermo, the vampire knew that he would be able to sleep now. His nerves finally settled. Unfortunately, with their sleeping conditions now, that might be a tad harder than nandor would want. Without words, Guillermo softly nodded, moving his hands to lift the arm's rests, that would have been nice to know before.
“Such weird human magic,” Nandor muttered, only getting a soft hum from his bodyguard.
“If you're comfortable, you could lay on my lap, I know it's not much space, but it might be more comfortable than laying upright.” Guillermo looked up, smiling softly.
Without much thought, nandor softly nodded, taking off his cape completely. Nandor then lay down, resting his head on Guillermos lap, his hair being brushed from his face by the same human. The vampier then closed his eyes, letting Guillermo cover him up. Once they were settled, a bit crowded, but settled, nandor was finally able to relax. Only feeling a soft hand on his hip as Guillermo relaxed. This was nice, so much softer than nandor is used to. But being a 700+-year-old vampire only driven by anger and lust, maybe some softness wouldn't be too bad. A change, but not a bad change.
“Night night, Guillermo” Nandor muttered, smiling softly
“Night night, nandor,” his human spoke back before the vampire felt himself slowly drift off.
