Summary
Gavi had spent years being told Jude Bellingham was his rival.
Then Project Lazarus collapsed, Strain L-9 spread, and the world ended before the final whistle.
There were no scoreboards anymore. No fans. No cameras. No clubs to hide behind. Only broken cities, infected bodies in the dark, and Jude’s warm hand around his wrist, pulling him back from death again and again.

Summary
“What the fuck happened to your hair?” Not hello, not hola, not surprising seeing you here, not safe old saying nothing at all — that was the first idiotic thing that escaped Jude’s mouth when he realized who was sitting opposite him in that waiting room.
OR
The one where Gavi has weekly checkups in Madrid at the same clinic as Jude as part of his ACL tear recovery, their appointments happen to clash, and things escalate from there.

Summary
Three paintings side-by-side; three nameless figures. One hunched-over and long-haired, draped in bloodstained bedsheets. One on a pedestal, teeth rotting from a plague. One screaming and starving, blind on a blood-orange background. Armand feels like he’s going to vomit every single thing inside of him out onto the showroom floor. His stomach drops the same way it did the first time he saw the de Romanus exhibit in the National Gallery, with the knowledge that every eye in the room is on him.
[Why they bought the Bacon triptych, and why Armand sold it.]

Summary
Throughout the seventies, John writes letters to Paul to let out all of the things that he can never actually say. He never intends to send them, of course. In retrospect, maybe he shouldn’t have addressed them and put the stamps on, although in his defense, how was he supposed to know that Sean would go through his drawers and decide to put them in the mailbox?
