Jace tried to pull away from her, shaking his head, but she pulled harder at his hair. At least, to the point where it started to hurt him. The prince whimpered at the sharp pain, trying to create distance from his queen's bitterness. He knew she wasn't mad, but in that instant, he truly doubted her sanity.
"Mother, please..." Jace pleaded, sounding calm, a little dizzy. "Let go of me. Let me go."
"You're not going anywhere, Jacaerys," Rhaenyra muttered against his lips. "You're staying here, with me."
