Spamton G. Spamton is definitely a terrible friend.
Somehow, that results in him convincing Pippins to skip work, getting it dolled up, and dragging it out to Cyber City for the first time in its life…on an outing that is definitely not a date. It's really not. They’re just, y’know, coworker-friend-buddy-pals. Okay, sure, Pippins looks damn cute in his clothes, and they probably held hands for way too long, but honestly, they’ve got a completely normal working relationship.
He is definitely, totally, not completely fucked.

Summary
Saying that Spamton was down on his luck was a generous understatement. After a failed stint in advertising, and with no other options available to him, he was forced to shoulder the embarrassment of crashing with his sister and her family, dogged with the question of when will he find something else.
Maybe that's why he ignores the warning signs when he scores a place at the local theater.
He could handle rumors of a ghost; they weren't real, after all. The incidents that led to the theater closing down? Tabloid, it had to be. Even the things going bump in the night had a clear explanation. But the mysterious, charming man promising him a chance? Now that was harder to ignore.

This is one I'm always coming back to. Yamask is my favorite Pokémon and this is my favorite fic featuring it! I remember finding this fic again after a long time and realizing it read differently from how I remembered, thought I was going crazy until I saw the author mentioned they had rewritten some stuff; I love it! <3 Been sitting in my Marked Later for years, figured I should just bookmark it properly at this point. -

But an idiot, at least he hoped, was not an entry on his extensive resume.
So needless to say, he did not believe the strange puppet-man-thing currently cornering him in the alley when it claimed to be his boss’s former business partner.
