Summary
"Is there something wrong?” It comes out sharper than he means it to. He forces himself to lessen his grip on his chopsticks as he picks at his noodles. Stratt’s perched on the table, forcing him to look up at her, craning his neck while the lights shine down like a halo.
“Well, the sun is dying,” she says, and they both know it’s not what he asked. Grace’s noodles keep falling apart when he tries to fish them out with his chopsticks and eat.“I know that. I mean–” he has to swallow, unexpected emotions welling up, that familiar old feeling from his teenage years, his twenties, every time someone called him the wrong thing or looked at him out of the corners of their eyes with that fear, or disgust, or worse, pity. “Is there something wrong with me?”
“There’s nothing wrong with you.” Normally he would appreciate the straightforwardness, but today everything is grating on his nerves.
“You’ve been looking at me weird all day.” He stabs at the noodles again with his chopsticks. No luck.
“Grace, do you want surgery?”
Oh.

Summary
Benjamin Dunn died in London. He sacrificed himself, exploiting a vulnerability in Lane's bomb vest to buy them more time. So that Benji could jump into the river before the explosives went off. So that Benji could save the civilians at the cafe. So Benji could save Ethan.
Ethan's been living with Benji's blood on his hands for the past year, hunting down the remnants of the Syndicate, trying to finish what Benji started. Trying to outrun his guilt that he didn’t do enough to stop the inevitable.
But when a mysterious man with a prosthetic arm and an all-too-familiar face appears, Ethan’s forced to reckon with what really happened that night in London— and if it's still too late to bring Benji back.

Benjamin Dunn died in London, and the soldier woke up in the hospital. He knows only what his handlers tell him to know: follow orders, put the cause above all else, and that the greater the suffering, the greater the peace. But old memories keep resurfacing. Glimpses of a face, a voice, a name.
Ethan.

Summary
The gun goes off.
The room smells like gunpowder and smoke, the tang of blood and floor cleaner. Dr. Hirsch watches as Jason Bourne stands, arm still raised, gaze level at the man he’s just shot dead. The body slumps in the steel folding chair with the black bag over its face, the bullet hole in its chest. There’s a speck of blood on the linoleum. He’ll have to ask the cleaners to get it out. Reminders are bad for progress.
“Good,” the doctor says. “Again.”

Summary
Eli thinks about Victor a lot during the vivisections. Thinks about him too much.
His mind associated pain with Victor, and he’s in a hell of a lot of pain, getting cut open on the operating table for hours on end. The lines of reality blur and Eli’s brain conjures him up, conjures up anything but reality in a last-ditch attempt to distract from the fact he’s being autopsied while still alive. And so there’s Victor, just as Eli remembers him, an odd amalgamation of the one he recognizes from Lockland and the older, sharper, grittier one with the black coat and maniacal glint in his eye, back from the dead to haunt him.

Summary
“Greetings Agent Hunt. Your mission, should you choose to accept it…”
Oh. Maybe it really is a mission. He’s oddly… disappointed. For a moment, he had thought maybe someone really would send something to him, that someone really did care about him enough to wrap a gift so securely that even a SWAT team couldn’t get it open.
The IMF logo flashes on the screen, before being replaced by—
Ethan grins. He knew there was another layer to this.
Luther waves at the camera, before he pans around to the outside of Ethan’s hotel. Luther’s here. Ethan’s not alone. It’s more of a relief than he thought it would be. “Is to join me outside for some Christmas fun, because god knows you need it.” A pause, as if Luther’s trying to decide what he’ll say next. “At least, I think you do. And I happened to be in town.” A flash of his smile, and Ethan melts. He hadn’t realized just how much he’d missed— this. Him.
“Meet me outside when you’re ready. Merry Christmas, Ethan.”
