Summary
Quackity spends more and more time in the Polish Cave because he wants to be near Multi and watch him work on his reactor. Multi likes having him around because, for once, he doesn’t feel lonely, and he finally has someone who actually listens to him. What neither of them realizes at first is that Quackity is getting more and more affected by the radiation and starts getting sick. Unfortunately, Multi has yet to find the antidote. To do so, Quackity convinces him to extract his DNA, getting hurt in the process. Not wanting to cause any more harm to the only person he cares about, Multi decides to distance himself after the accident. Now, when they both have a lot of time to think, it turns out they are even more miserable and not talking to each other hurts them more than any reactor ever would.

When Dustin gave him Eddie’s weapons to fight Vecna, Steve decided to apologize for what he’d said earlier about Eddie. He wasn’t prepared for how it made him feel, or for all his memories of Eddie to come flooding back to him suddenly. He also wasn’t prepared for his heart to decide it was finally time to share his most guarded secret with Dustin and tell him about his relationship with Eddie.

For trying to be a hero when Steve specifically told him not to. How he’s still angry at himself for not telling Eddie he loved him. Because maybe he would still be alive.
