Summary
Louis cleared his throat, pushed spit to its pruritic back. “The hell’s going on here?”
“I thought it was obvious. A party.” Lestat flipped his hair, voice playful and pointed. “You won’t like it; we might partake in an orgy later. It’ll be superb, a cornucopia built entirely on sucking and fucking.”
The girl giggled. Louis tried to remember why he’d wanted to see Lestat at all. How he was maddeningly drawn to him; even mean, obnoxiously inebriated, face smudged with eyeliner and violet glitter.
“As you can see, I’m in the midst of hosting. So if you will - ”
“Really?” Louis said, an inch of malice slowly plucking its way out. “You don’t want me to go.”

Louis is jealous of everyone who so much as breathes near Lestat. He's dealing with it super super well.

Lestat’s hair was as enticing as honey. Golden, mouth watering, the kind of thing Louis could easily see himself gripping between his fingers - slurp up, greedier than the countless times the sugar powder of a beignet had melted between them. In his mind, Lestat would be even sweeter.
“Bein?” Lestat asked.
His mouth curled up into that enticing smile, and his arms remained extended wide as he looked at him through the mirror in front. Louis sat behind on a firm chair, crossed his legs in an effort to remain nonchalant. He was. He was nonchalant.

Louis takes Lestat out to purchase new clothes during his first week in New Orleans, he really likes what he sees.

Louis clenched his jaw, the tension between them pulling like a worn rubber band, a sliver already yanked into it, dangerously close to snapping. “Lestat -”
“I’m what?” asked Harvey, “I don’t even know who the hell you are, and you’re what, here to steal my date?”
“Date?” Lestat cackled, just short of hysterically. Smacked himself in the cheeks with wavy blonde ends when he brought his chin back to centre. He gave Harvey a look laced with amusement, he was a doll to bend how he pleased. “You’re going to get up, grab your tawdry coat and walk out the door. Go home, wander the streets, it does not matter to me. But you are going to leave.”
“It’s not a date,” Louis groaned.

Louis isn't dating, he isn't. But when flirting occurs Lestat is somehow always there. (3 times Lestat derails Louis' dates, and the 1st time he does it back).

Neither of them actually has much of a green thumb, it turns out, but evening primrose is extremely easy to care for.
