Bookmarker's Notes
Maybe miraculous that these two—these three—happen to have each other, but then again! The original three were miraculously unique anyway.
Conducted me to think about romantic attraction and what it means; what these characters are feeling. Very interested in understanding more… having hypotheses critiqued. E. Is Satoru particularly averse to being “desired”: has connotations of being needed, dependence?…expectation of familiarity and intimacy is not avoided, companionship and mutual understanding also certainly not…but a particular bundle of focused “need” and “desire” towards him is. is that apt?) and is it majorly influenced by his family environment of identifying him as a powerful tool that is needed, but in a way that pays little heed to his human disposition?

“You know,” Gojō finally says, tone light and deliberate like the beginnings of a threat, “I’ve been reminiscing, in this last half month.”

Bookmarker's Notes
I love <3.. always, intimacy with characterization. And this one followed canon-with-shift very closely, which means I very easily find the characterization to be “true”.

Summary
Yagami’s son is still pretty. He is pretty even on camera when he thinks he is alone, where most people would allow themselves to relax, allow themselves to slip. Light is still pretty.

Bookmarker's Notes
oh my god this is good
had misogyny brought up
had their characters be so in-character, even when it’s definitely debatable for L to be immersed in what seems like superficial attraction—even to the diluted extent that this fic allowswon’t lie, genuinely groundbreaking for me
--jun 2026. it's a recharacterization of L, but the truly immersive one. sometimes there are contradictions, mistakes to do with his psychology as a genius, but it's still really damn good. haha, he's chained to the same mortal coil of associated attractiveness worship. that's something you might raise a brow at L being..subsumed by, but again, it's truly immersive.
