Sydney makes her way inside, and Carmy takes a moment to follow after her, maybe trying to catch her, let her yell some more, anything at this point. He can't lie and say that the time she spent yelling at him wasn't all bad to him. At least she was talking to him, at least she looked at him a little bit, maybe if she yells some more, she might slip up and say his name. It'll give him something to hold on it.
He wants something from her, anything—he's not ready for the 11 months of silence that he knows will follow tonight.
