Summary
Rumi is an attorney at law, she worked and studied harder than anyone else, she might as well be the best. But she's alone, and she's flawed, and she's working against a system that does nothing but benefits from exploiting and abusing people. (And something is moving in the shadows, the city is restless, the people are dying, the demons are humans). She has something rotten inside her, that drives her, and every night she becomes the devil - the saviour, the protector.
or daredevil!Rumi AU that nobody asked for:))))

Summary
If Trinity thought her blood pressure had spiked when she saw the knife, the feeling that she gets when she sees Izzy in the doorway to the room Trinity had left is akin to the worst case of hypertension she's ever seen. She wouldn't be surprised if the veins in her eyes are bursting, sending ribbons of red spilling out across the whites.
Alex is beginning to speak again, his voice shaking but his tone firm and unrelenting. "I have to go—"
Trinity reaches out instinctively, unable to think about anything other than keeping Izzy out of his eyeline. "Alex! Don't—"
She doesn't see him pull out the knife. But a split second after he moves there's a sharp pain in her left arm, blood immediately welling up out of a slash across it. She presses onto it with her other hand, shying away from him in pain, her basic animal brain telling her to protect the injury.
This is the wrong move.
or: it turns out that, for trinity at least, getting stabbed makes you rethink a few things. among these things is included your ex-situationship-turned-tentative-work-friend-turned-awkward-avoidanceship (yeah, it's a mouthful. maybe quicker to just call her garcia)

Summary
Angela thinks, later, that if it had happened in some bigger moment maybe she could have handled it better.
But no.
It happens in the middle of a Moose Master video shoot.
That’s what kills her.
Just Amanda laughing.
It settles into her bones with a horrible, gorgeous kind of certainty.
She loves her.
Angela glances down.
And there it is. For one completely insane second her brain refuses to make sense of what she’s seeing.
A thin red string looped around her pinky finger.
Her eyes follow it before she can stop herself. Over the cards. Across the table.
Tied right to someone else’s finger, linking them both.
Amanda.

A survivor from a forgotten war-torn world, Rumi is brought to the Jedi Temple and trained under Master Celine. She grows up beside Mira, Zoey, Jinu, and the others, trying to become the Jedi everyone hopes she can be.
But when the Clone Wars begin, Rumi sees the Republic protect its own interests while the Outer Rim burns. The Jedi become generals, soldiers become numbers, and mercy starts to feel too slow.
The darkness inside her was never the whole truth.
It was only the warning.

Summary
Lucea has always lived inside stories, where heroes made more sense than reality, and where one man, Tony Stark, felt more real to her than the world around her. But everything changes when she finds an old notebook in a forgotten antique shop. First, it’s just a diary. Then the pages begin to respond. Words shift. Sentences change. And something on the other side starts to listen. When the boundary between fiction and reality finally breaks, Lucea wakes in a world that should not exist, standing face to face with Tony Stark himself. But as two realities collide, a far more disturbing question emerges.
Extract "Chapter 2":
"...You have murder robots."
"They're technically preventative defense platforms."
She finally turned her head to look at him.
"You have murder robots."
Tony considered that for a moment before nodding.
"Yeah. That's fair."
He paused just long enough for the tension to settle again, then added, almost casually, “In my defense, they’re very expensive murder robots. There’s a difference.”
[...]
“…Okay,” he said carefully. “We are going to need a rule about throwing things at the billionaire genius in the room with active defense systems.”
