he says it like it's a joke the first time. "i don't think i know how to live without you," kunikuzushi says. flippantly, nonchalantly, like it's one of his ill-timed jokes.
"is that so? did you get used to being worshipped too much, my lord?" kazuha's playful streak strikes back. there's a curve of a smile on his lips. the firewood burns in front of them, more for kazuha's comfort than the puppet's — since kunikuzushi is wired different, built to withstand the chill and the heat, any situations one can account for.
kunikuzushi flashes him a smile, one that goes away as quickly as it comes. it's cut up, sliced in the edges — a little like pieces of fruits in the harvest season, plated prettily but not whole anymore.
