Silence hangs heavy on the line, and it feels like an eternity before Jaemin lets out a wolfish laugh. "Oh my god, Just wow. I... hold on a second." Donghyuck hears him set down the phone, his laughter only growing louder.
Donghyuck burns with embarrassment, a pout settling on his face. "It's not that funny! Dude, stop laughing and help me!"

Donghyuck's nose scrunches in distain. "I was gonna be cheesy and kiss you and say 'I love you,' but you ruined it."
Jaemin only laughs, watching Donghyuck's lips fall into a pout once again. "I love you." He gently cups Donghyuck's face and fondly brushes his thumbs against his cheekbone. “You know that, right?”

He kind of wants to make a joke here, to be like haha, you’re not Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way? but he’s not sure how well received that would be so he keeps it in.
“Cool,” he replies instead. “Cool, yeah, that’s great, cool, thanks!” Donghyuck has never sounded more stupid in his life before, he’s sure. He takes a step back, ready to run back to his room and sit his ass back at his desk and pretend this interaction never happened. “See you around, then!” Jaemin’s smile doesn’t go away. He gives Hyuck a lazy nod back, leaning a shoulder against the doorway as Huyck makes his quick escape back to the confines of his room, where there are no weird, sexy emos (emo? Goth? Depressed person?) to make him nervous.
