Summary
Lalli uses his magic to save both himself and Emil from certain doom, but instead of landing at the meeting spot with Sigrun and the others, they find themselves blinking open to a world even more bizarre than the one that tried to kill them. Stranded in some old world institution called a “university,” the two struggle forward as best as they can. Alone… it’s just too bad they have no idea the other was alive and well...just a mile away.
Trying not to raise suspicion in this new world, Emil has to keep up a popular rich prep act- close to how he acted before the life-changing events in the silent world.
Across campus, Lalli is pretty convinced he’s either dead or dreaming because Turri was supposed to be dead and Onni definitely didn't wear suits and glass wasn't supposed to glow and waves couldn't heat food and-
There wasn't any magic here.If this wasn't a dream… then whatever spell he cast meant he was stuck and Emil was more than likely dead.
What Lalli wouldn't give to have died in Emil’s arms like he was supposed to.
