So. This isn't Riddle's fault. He just… took a fellow housewarden's word at face value and suffered for it. He's currently suffering for it. His face has to be fifteen shades of splotchy red by now; between Idia's muffled laughter and the look of shock painted across Azul's face, he's still the only one so thoroughly embarrassed. He has a decent reason to be embarrassed, too.
To explain that, though, Riddle would have to explain how this whole situation started.
He tries, without much elegance: "This was Idia's idea."

There was nothing wrong with their relationship, so why did Riddle-
Boys. They were both BOYS!!!
But that wasn’t wrong! Maybe a few centuries ago, it was frowned upon, but in this day and age, same-sex relationships were practically completely normalized. Only a rare few, raised with hate in their hearts, frowned upon them.
Like how Riddle was frowning right now…
Riddle took a step back, covering his mouth in shock. Was he… homophobic…?
Or
Riddle sees Azul dating another Student. He mistakes his own jealousy for homophobia and is horrified with himself and wants to find a way to be rid of it. Kind of a crack fic so they might be OOC
