Eddie frowned. "So basically, we'd be boyfriends, without benefits?"
"Yes!" Buck snapped his fingers. "Like platonic boyfriends! We'd get all the benefits of a relationship and none of the heartbreak."
And maybe Eddie had finally lost his mind, or maybe it was from all the alcohol clouding his judgment, but the idea of it didn't sound half as crazy as it should have.

Summary
Evan Buckley and Eddie Diaz met when they were only three years old and for the next 12 years they were thick as thieves. That is, until, inexplicably, Evan started pulling away. Eddie is left hurt and confused when, within the space of a month, his boyfriend and best friend has moved away without leaving any notice of where he has gone or how to reach him. The Diaz parents think that a girlfriend will solve all of Eddie's issues and so in comes Shannon. A year into their relationship, their parents have the genius idea to relocate to LA for Senior year. Unfotunately for Eddie, his life is about to get a whole lot more complicated when a familiar face turns up at his new school, seemingly entirely unaffected by their abrupt parting.
