Freelance videographer Mydei took a last-minute job from a friend who promised it'd be "worth his time." Just a routine shoot, or so he was told.
Then he walked in.
Phainon. The Deliverer. Barely dressed. The very same model Mydei whispered about into a pillow.
Phainon had noticed. The flushed ears. The way his hands trembled behind the camera. So he pushed it.
"Turn on your camera," he said with a wicked grin. "Thought you'd enjoy a front row seat—no need to imagine anymore."
Or, Phainon insisted the cameras keep rolling long after the shoot, giving his favorite fanboy more than enough footage for those quiet nights alone.

Phainon rolls his eyes at him playfully. But he leans closer and nuzzles his nose against Mydei's cheek. "Can I kiss you?", he asks.
The prince lifts a judgmental eyebrow and stares at the bloody ground they’re standing on. "Here?"
"Yes. I know it's not exactly romantic but I really want to kiss you right now, Mydeimos." Phainon pleads and nuzzles their noses together again.
It's hard to deny his Deliverer anything. So he doesn't.

spoilers for hsr 3.3
When it comes to predatory, soul-sucking gacha games, Cosmic Impact Rail Zero was probably the worst of the worst. Did it have incredible characters? Yes. An engaging storyline? Double yes. Did it make Mydei want to blow his entire paycheck on weapons and skins and more rolls? Of course it did.
But it also killed off basically every character in the game, including the crown prince that shared Mydei's name– Mydeimos the Undying, Son of Gorgo. How the hell was that even possible?! He literally had undying in his title!?
So when the developers ask for feedback, Mydei goes off on a heated tangent– and finds himself reincarnated as his namesake. You know– the doomed prince, destined for a life of hardship? Destined to die?
Not if Mydei has anything to say about it.

Mydei could see red strings attached on people's little fingers. His parents had one connecting them. The couple that visited the wife's mother had one, but the wife's mother didn't have any.
Sometimes the strings looked short, sometimes it stretched into a distance far away than his eyes could reach. Mydei never dared to touch any, seeing he had none to test it on himself.

Red greeted him.
Mydei took a step back instinctually in shock, seeing Phainon's left little finger was covered in uncountable red strings. There were so many that it covered the entirety of his finger, all heading to different directions.

Alternatively, Mydei and Phainon met during childhood and grew up together, with Mydei being able to see red strings tied around people's fingers.
