Summary
“You know what? I don’t care.” Jay holds his hands up in a mocking shrug, laughing cynically. “I know I won fair and square, doesn’t matter how your little trick turned out. I know, and you—” he jabs a finger into Matt’s chest, “you know it, too.” Matt grabs at Jay’s hand before he can pull it back, not pushing it away or pulling it closer, just clutching it painfully tight with an indiscernible look in his eye.
“I know…” he starts slowly, drawing the sound out as long as he can, “that I won.”

Matt and Jay construct intricate rituals which allow them to touch the skin of other men.

Summary
He didn’t want to stoop to Matt’s level, always told himself that he was above that, even as his best friend tugged him down in the dirt time after time. You are the company you keep, after all, and Matt’s company made him guilty by association, ever since they were kids stealing from cookie jars and busting out windows. And maybe it wasn’t fair that Matt had all the fun, right? That he was able to languish in his hedonism, leaving Jay to pick up the pieces, smooth things over, make excuses to–sometimes literally–clean their hands.
Maybe he deserved to play in the dirt, too.

Matt and Jay get tangled up in a dumpster. Hijinks ensue!

Summary
As Jay wakes up he realizes he had the same dream again. It wasn't identical, but it was in the same unkempt house with the sun setting through the front window, at the same piano. And the man who ruined his life yesterday was wearing a really, really stupid hat.
---
Matt and Jay are stuck in a cursed world where they never met. Jay is a corporate jingle writer, and Matt is a hedge fund manager about to liquidate his office. They don't remember their real lives, or each other. They have a lot of soul searching to do before they can escape.Bookmarked by batomorphi

Summary
It was true that Matt was obsessed with the idea of *having had* sex, but he didn’t show any interest in trying to pursue anybody. What Matt was mostly interested in was Jay being involved, somehow. How could he not understand that this was too much to ask, even for them? Matt didn’t ever seem to feel bad about needing things from people.
