On Regulus' birthday, a year after Regulus went into the cave, Sirius went to a bar to get drunk and started talking to the barman.
“You talk about your brother in the past tense.”
“Yeah.” Sirius agreed although it wasn’t phrased as a question and took a sip of his drink, averting his eyes. “He killed himself last year. I kinda wish he’d left a note or something. Anything.”Little did Sirius know that Regulus had survived and he was living in hiding, using Polyjuice Potion to disguise himself as a Muggle. He was also working as a barman.

Summary
