Summary
The cold, distant halls of the Necropolis wasn't frightening, rather they imposed a quiet sense of dread in his bones. The chill lingered in places it shouldn't, and the gooseflesh on the back of his neck never seemed to settle. Illario searched his memory for what Lucanis had told him about the mission, recalling the skeleton being ahead of him was refered to as a lich. A concept he could have relatively less care for, all that really stuck was Rook's harsh glare and incessant "Don't make any invasive questions". As if he knew what could be considered invasive or not.

Illario gets taken on a mission that was needing backup. However, the ending didn't end up in the way he was particularly expecting.

Summary
One step, two, three. Recklessness was wrought under her bones, she was all too used to running three steps ahead of the group. Even if it risked her life. Arrows would fly and daggers spun between her hands, blue eyes striking. Venom laced between words, boldness and impulse made up her blood.
For a warden she certainly could hold the coldness of a crow in the way she killed. Today held no difference. Rook spun on a heel, dagger flying from her hand with scary precision into the neck of a hurlock. Sure, she'd ran off and didn't tell people. But they'd figure it out soon enough, at least Davrin would.
It was easier to lose herself here. Easier to think it was just another day on the job as a warden versus trying to be the hero everyone wanted.

The elf leans into his hand, eyes sliding shut for a couple seconds into feeling the sensation of Emmrich's care. He murmurs, the words hesitant on his tongue, feeling the apprehension slide tension up his spine.
