Summary
Victoria Hudson didn't know what she was signing up for when she agreed to step in as landlady for 221 Baker Street after her aunt fell ill. All she cared about was the freedom it would grant her from the expectations of her family. The added strain of being the housekeeper for the resident of 221B was an adventure of its own, and meeting the man's sister, who enjoys nothing more than innocently messing with her brother was an added wrinkle.
Still, Sherlock Holmes wasn't as terrible as some people said he was, and Victoria finds herself caught up in the excitement surrounding him and his family. They both eventually learn that they aren't as different as they thought, and maybe, just maybe, find common ground over their shared love of knowledge.
Enola knew the whole time, though.

Enjoyable read, but the ending is very disappointing, as it felt choppy and rushed; perhaps it would've been better if the writer had not included the ending at all, so that the reader could imagine a better one. 6/10

must have read this at least 10 times. I remember reading it for the first time at about 1 in the morning and I just couldn't put it down so I ending up getting no sleep that night. perhaps my favourite part is how the writer deliberately made it unequivocally clear that Katsuki was inhuman, as in most mermaid stories they make the mermaid a literal human with a fish tail, which seems disingenuous and is just plain annoying; have to give this a 9/10. I could (and have) gush about this all day.
