Summary
In this complicated, heartless, and utterly cruel world of theirs, Idia only needed to know one simple thing; he just needs to know that he loves Leona, and that Leona loves him back. They didn't need to complicate their fleeting relationship any further with expressions of how much they loved one another, not when it's obvious that the two of them will one day be torn apart from one another to attend to the duties that come with their birthright.
"You… know that I love you, right?" Questioned Idia out loud. Such words are true, but in his voice? It felt wrong.
"Yeah." Leona flopped off of Idia's shoulder and onto his lap, making himself comfortable with a purr. "I love ya too, Idia."

Idia is pretty sure that their relationship will come to an end once they graduate, and that the love he has will go nowhere. Leona doesn't agree with Idia's conclusion. -

Wah!” Prefect Kni-kun from Ramshackle fell to his knees before Ruggie, sobbing profusely as he clutched onto his phone and a Lilia nui that had a concerning amount of bite marks, “I only had 12 spawns and a dream, yet- yet- why did Lilia come home instead of you?! Aren’t you rates up?! Why is Lilia in my spawns blocking me from getting limited cards again?!”
“Oya~” Managed the partially mangled Lilia nui weakly before Kni-kun grabbed it and shoved it into his mouth, chewing brand new holes into its soft exterior.
What was Ruggie supposed to say in a situation like this? I’m sorry? Like, what the hell. Why does Kni-kun care for him so much anyway? Also, why did that guy call Ruggie his son?!

“You know I have nothing after spawning and failing to get spelldrive Ruggie, and yet..!” Kni-kun slammed his phone on Crowley’s desk, displaying a cracked screen with Crowley’s card displayed. Poor pitiful boy, he only had 23 spawns to gamble.

"Ah… flowers." With the memories of his mother's garden still lingering in the back of his mind, Idia felt conflicted between appreciating the roses before him or dreading their radiant, carefully picked perfection. They're too perfect. They're so vibrantly red, perfectly circular, petals laid carefully like a platter of finely selected sweets. In the face of such perfection, his eyes desperate looked out for the imperfect, the slanted, the slight bit of wilt that'd tell him that this was not his mother's perfect garden coming back to haunt him. "What's the occasion?"

“I’m not here for soda, unfortunately.” Idia gripped Ruggie’s shoulders in hopes that his savior would not dart away (although he easily could, since Idia barely has the strength to open a bottle of water sometimes), “I… want to make cookies to decorate with Ortho and Leona for Christmas, but I don’t know shit about baking cookies or making frosting. Please help.”
Ruggie glanced between Idia and his own cart before answering, “I’ll help if you pay for my stuff.”

This is the first Christmas Idia is celebrating with Leona as an officially married pair. To celebrate, Idia really wants to make this "first" Christmas super duper special. How will he do that? By baking cookies, of course! Sweets will be the perfect highlight to their first Christmas ever as a married duo (with Ortho there, of course)!
