Summary
Sanji is a romantic. He wants to do it right. He wants to shower someone with affection and wait for the perfect moment to ask for a date, planning the romantic atmosphere before. He doesn’t do casual dating, he wants the fairy tale relationship. Falling in love and all of that.
Then again, after two years of isolation in a school for troublemakers, the last thing Sanji worries about is his romantic endeavors. If he can't even make amends with his best and only friend, he's a lost cause to something like love.

When these five Adventurers come together, it's unclear at first why their mystery employer chose them, in particular, to find and clear the dungeon in Alabasta. Their motivations couldn't be any more different from each other, and it doesn't take long for chaos to ensue.
But between all the monsters and the drought and the conspiracies that surround the desert kingdom of Alabasta, the group realizes they need to be able to trust each other if they want to survive and collect their promised rewards.

After spending three nights in the woods around the village, one thing Zoro is absolutely certain of is that the dragon is playing him. He isn't sure how the beast does it but whenever Zoro catches its trail and follows it far enough to find the creature's den, it's already gone and seeking shelter elsewhere.
It's a game of cat and mouse, and after three days of searching the woods and circling back around to the village multiple times, Zoro isn't sure anymore who's the cat and who's the mouse.

The thing about Roronoa Zoro is, he's the perfect example of a very stereotypical jock. He's buff, he spends most of his free time doing sports and he's pretty popular around campus. People know him by name and reputation even when they have never talked to him once. Just like Sanji.
That alone shouldn't be confusing. Sanji is the first one to admit that buff men can be very gorgeous and that there is no harm in appreciating them. It doesn't surprise him that someone like Roronoa Zoro, who has the body of a male adonis, is the conversation topic all over campus.
Only, that's not really what people talk about when they mention his name because, above all, Roronoa Zoro has the reputation of being a bully.

Ever since Sanji was a child he was cursed to never experience the touch of another human being without being subjected to excruciating pain. It's Zoro's job as his knight to make sure that no one ever comes close enough to hurt him.
The only thing that is supposed to lift Sanji's curse, is to be touched by someone who truly and wholeheartedly loves him, so his father, King Zeff, arranges dates with Royalty from different parts of the kingdom in hopes to find the one that will be able to break the curse.
If only Sanji would show interest in any other than his very own knight.

"Does it matter?" Zoro asks and he's glad his voice doesn't sound as hoarse as he feared, even though the lump is still there. Why does he have to do this? It feels unnecessarily cruel that he of all people has to give his crush relationship advice. He doesn't look at Sanji. Instead, he keeps his gaze fixated on the wine in his glass. This is his fourth or fifth glass and he doesn't even like red wine that much.

Sanji is different from his brothers. They are reminded of that every day. When Sanji lacks behind in endurance, strength, and intelligence, they are reminded of how weak he is. When Sanji gets caught in the kitchen feeding mice once again, they are reminded of how emotional he is. When Sanji begs their father for help when the brothers are especially cruel, they are reminded of how naive he is.
All three boys know that they are better than Sanji in every way. Their father designed them to be perfect.
And yet, when Sanji spends time with their bed-ridden mother and they see her smile and laugh, hear her call Sanji an angel, they are reminded that it’s Sanji who gets their mother’s attention most.
