Timing had never been one of Dunk’s strong suits. Unfortunately for both Dunk and Egg and indeed their poor horses his sense of timing had extended indeed to picking their choice of route as they found themselves entering the Stormlands as summer cooled into the beginning chills of autumn. And while autumn so far south was not a terrible thing, Dunk had forgotten to take into account the very namesake of the Stormlands itself.
“Ser,” Egg said, from atop his mount. “I think we might need to find shelter soon.”

Dunk and Egg find themselves caught in a storm and need to take shelter at Storm's End forcing Dunk to come face to face with Storm Lord Lyonel Baratheon for the first time since Ashford, leading him to find out maybe he has timed something right for the first time in his life for when better to tell a storm lord how you feel than in the middle of storm.

Dunk and Egg stop at a wedding tourney on their journey north to visit the Wall, encountering a strange assembly of people including an old friend in Ser Lyonel Baratheon. At least, Dunk hopes the man is a friend. But he finds the reunion between them to be much different than the one he expected.
