Saloonatics AU
Tord sat on Edd’s lap, both of them nestled in a large rustic leather armchair. A dusky shadow concealed Tord’s figure; only a speck of the lamp’s amber touch outlined the contours of his body and face. Below Tord, Edd was bathed in yellow from the generous glare of the effulgent lamp, leaning into the receiver of a landline while he absent-mindedly fidgeted with a pen. Tord looked down at Edd with eyes that twinkled under the moon’s soft white gaze. Tord was in his pajama pants, ready for bed. Edd was not, still dressed in layers of clothing.

Back in his hometown, Edward still worked with the Sheriff whenever he visited England. The stress of the current case causes Edd to overwork.
So there he was, past 2AM, sitting on a chair with a landline handset against his ear, taking notes regarding the leads he'd uncovered. His boyfriend, Tord, hated it. Tord had enough, and decided tonight he'd finally drag Edd to bed with him.
