Summary
Enid’s an up and coming journalist who just got hired at Nevermore. After a successful first interview and subsequent article—her boss Larissa Weems starts to see potential in her.
She decides to assign Enid to interview the mysteriously elusive Wednesday Addams. The best selling author of the Viper De La Muerte series. The tenth anniversary is coming up after an abrupt end to the story and many unsatisfied fans.
Enid, however, may come to find that Wednesday ended things for a good reason.

“Okay,” Lottie said, still holding Shauna’s wrist. “Now you lick your hand right here.” She tapped the soft patch of skin between Shauna’s thumb and forefinger.
Shauna frowned. “Why would I do that?”
“For the salt.”
“The salt.”
“Jesus Christ.” Lottie laughed again, shaking her head a little. “Just hold still.”
Something in her voice, amused and patient and just this side of teasing, made Shauna do exactly that.
Lottie’s grip on her wrist tightened only slightly as she lifted Shauna’s hand, and for a brief second Shauna thought maybe she was going to demonstrate with her own. The thought had barely formed before Lottie leaned in and pressed her tongue, slow and deliberate, to the exact spot she’d pointed to.
Shauna felt it before she understood it.
