Summary
Sirius loved women. He loved talking to them, kissing them, shagging them…But he could never quite manage to fall IN love with a woman. And that was just fine with him–He had more than enough trauma from witnessing what the Blacks were like in serious relationships. He kept it casual and fun, and nobody faulted him for it. Well, except for Remus—but Remus had never been in a relationship either, or even shagged anyone as far as Sirius knew, so who was he to judge? However, Sirius is in for a rude (gay) awakening when Dorcas and Marlene convince Remus to do a drag performance on the opening night of their gay bar.
Or, Remus reaches into the closet and yoinks his future husband right out of it.

When Sirius leaves his abusive family, he runs away to the Potters. He doesn't mean to kiss his best friend, who he's been in love with since their Sorting. When James kisses him back, Sirius knows the truth: James doesn't love him back. Not like that.
But Sirius lets James pretend anyway, at least until they return to Hogwarts. As Sirius's boyfriend, James is finally able to talk to Lily Evans without making a fool of himself. Sirius breaks it off to set James free, but James won't move on without knowing Sirius is okay.
Sirius decides to ask Remus for a favor.
"I want to kiss you. In front of James," I said.
I knew I could never break Remus’s heart. He was one of my best friends, and I knew his taste in a significant other: kind, thoughtful, careful with their words.
