When a celebration is organized to honor Captain Picard’s most recent diplomatic achievements, the whole senior staff of the Enterprise D accompanies him for a long weekend of sunshine and parties on Risa. Away from the ship and duty, romantic tension between Jean-Luc and Dr. Beverly Crusher is higher than ever. Can the two of them just get together already?? If Deanna (and the author) have anything to say about it, the answer is a resounding YES.

Summary
I can’t say with certainty where we’ll end up (together or separately).
But for now, these chapters are manifesting as little explorations of Mulder and Scully’s internality within each episode, usually accompanied by a little off-screen vignette, before or after.

Summary
From where she stood, she couldn’t see the hand he had in his pocket. Keeping entirely focused on the conversation he was having, he activated the device to a medium setting. Beverly’s body lurched without her permission as the vibrations came back to life, rumbling against every deep and sensitive spot inside of her.
“You managed to fool an empath. Well, at least I think you did. Maybe she sensed your arousal the moment you stepped on this deck,” he taunted, his hand rubbing small circles on her lower back. “There’s never any fooling Guinan, so let’s not kid ourselves. However, I wonder if you’ll be able to fool a full telepath.”
That caught her attention. She jerked her head upright to look at him, shooting him daggers with her eyes. “What does that mean?”
While attending a birthday party at Ten Forward, Jean-Luc decides to have a little fun with seeing how far he can push Beverly.

Summary
Beverly couldn’t explain it. All eighty of the Tsiolkovsky crew dead from various causes, though almost all of them self-inflicted in some way. Then from the Enterprise, Geordi was the first to begin showing signs of the same affliction, emotional distress and intoxication, but nothing showing up on the tricorder. Nothing showing up on the deepest of scans, physiological or neurological. Either way, the infection — intoxication? She honestly still doesn’t know — is swarming the ship at an alarming rate.
She’s aware of the timeline from Starfleet. They lost contact with the Tsiolkovsky a little over forty-eight hours before they sent the Enterprise looking for it.
They’re rapidly running out of time.
